Frequently asked questions
Does GUIDE PLAYER include channels or content?
No. GUIDE PLAYER is a player only. It contains no channels, movies, series or playlists. To watch, you add the details given to you by a service you are entitled to use.
Is it free?
The app is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. Any fees for content are between you and the service you use; GUIDE PLAYER is not a party to that.
Which devices are supported?
Android TV and Google TV devices, and Android phones and tablets running Android 8.0 or later. An iPhone and iPad version is in development.
Are my login details safe?
Your server address, username and password are stored only on your device and are never sent to us. The password is encrypted with the device's secure key store and excluded from cloud backups. If you send them with Upload list on our website, they are encrypted in your browser; our server cannot read them and deletes them within 15 minutes.
Which playlist types are supported?
Username and password sign-in (Xtream API compatible services) and M3U/M3U8 playlists. Programme guides use the XMLTV format.
